Terms of Service
These terms govern the use of the website getsisyphos.com and of the Sisyphos software. Please read them before using the site or buying a license. Where you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights always apply and are not restricted by anything written here.
Provider and scope
The provider of this website and of the Sisyphos software is:
Christoph Amort
Lerchenfelder Straße 25
1070 Vienna, Austria
Email: hello@getsisyphos.com
Web: getsisyphos.com
These terms apply to your use of the website, to the waitlist, and to the purchase and use of a Sisyphos license. Additional information about the provider is in the Legal Notice; how data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
Use of this website
The content on this website is informational. It describes what the software does and how it works, but it is not a warranty of any particular result, and no warranty is given that the content is complete, current, or free of error. Product details may change while the software is in development.
Links to third-party websites lead to content that is not ours. We do not control that content and take no responsibility for it; the operator of the linked site is responsible.
Waitlist
You can join the waitlist with your email address. The list runs on Buttondown and uses double opt-in: after entering your address you receive a confirmation email, and you are only added once you confirm. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, which removes you from the list. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Software license
When you buy Sisyphos you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the software.
- You may install and use the software on devices you own or control, for your own use, including commercial work you do yourself.
- The license includes 12 months of updates from the date of purchase. After those 12 months you keep using the version you have, for as long as you like; further updates require a renewal if one is offered.
- You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software except where mandatory law expressly permits it, and you may not redistribute the software, sublicense it, share it publicly, or resell license keys.
- The license key identifies your purchase. Keep it to yourself; a key handed to others may be blocked.
The software is licensed, not sold. All rights not expressly granted here stay with the provider.
Purchases and payment
Prices are shown on the website (currently €129 launch price, €189 after launch) and are stated in euro, including any applicable VAT. Payment is handled by the payment provider named at checkout, acting as merchant of record; that provider is your contractual partner for the payment itself and issues the invoice or receipt.
The license key is delivered electronically to the email address you give at checkout, normally immediately after payment. There is no free trial.
Right of withdrawal for consumers
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason (Austrian Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz, FAGG, implementing Directive 2011/83/EU).
Sisyphos is digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium. For such content the right of withdrawal lapses once performance has begun (that is, once the download or delivery of the license key starts), provided you have expressly consented to performance beginning before the withdrawal period ends and have acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. You are asked for that consent and acknowledgement at checkout.
To exercise the right of withdrawal where it still applies, an informal statement to hello@getsisyphos.com is enough.
Third-party services and your own API key
The optional judgment step in Sisyphos uses Google's Gemini API. It runs with your own API key, directly from your machine to Google, under your own Google account and Google's terms. Any cost for those API calls is billed to you by Google, and we are not a party to that relationship. Sisyphos sends only a small number of keyframe stills and measured signals; raw video is never transmitted, and the app enforces this on the file contents. You can use the software without this step.
Your content
Your footage, your projects, and the analysis database stay on your machine. We do not receive them, do not store them, and claim no rights in them. Everything you produce with Sisyphos remains yours.
Acceptable use
Do not use the website or the software to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, to process material you have no right to process, or to interfere with the operation or security of the website. Do not circumvent the licensing mechanism.
Intellectual property
The software, the website, its texts, images, layout, and the Sisyphos name and mark are protected by copyright and other rights and belong to the provider or its licensors. Use beyond ordinary use of the website and of the licensed software requires prior written permission. Third-party open-source components used in the software remain under their own licenses, which are listed with the application.
Warranty and liability
For consumers, the statutory warranty regime under Austrian law applies in full and is not limited here.
Beyond that, liability is limited: we are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and wherever mandatory law provides for liability regardless of fault. For slight negligence, liability is excluded to the extent the law allows.
Sisyphos assists an editor; it does not replace one. It proposes selects, shows the measured evidence behind each pick and each reject, and leaves the decision to you. We accept no liability for editorial decisions made with the tool or for their consequences, nor for lost data. Keep your own backups of your footage and projects.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated, for example when the product, the payment process, or the legal situation changes. The version published here at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase. The date below shows when this text was last changed.
Governing law and venue
Austrian law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and excluding its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer with residence in the EU, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer provisions of your country of residence, and you may sue and be sued at the courts of your place of residence.
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
